The musical for this year was Legally Blonde. Students and staff worked together and put months worth of work and effort into it.

An effort which paid off as many who attended the show among the three day, enjoyed the show.

Shows were between the days of May 10th – 12th 2012. One would tell you that missing the opportunity to see this play is a huge loss.

It's not just some poor production. This production showed a spirit that when you left, for hours that positive energy surrounded you.

The shows more then just a excellent success!

Thank you to all who had supported the Musical!

The two class of semester two held a symposium where student transferred their knowledge of Ancient Greece into a moment of today.

As a student in the class, I felt that I got the an opportunity to experience a moment of Ancient Greece in our class. It was really fun and exciting, especially with the horse in the mix.

East York’s rich history with football is unforgettable, especially on Friday Night Lights. The boys come out welcomed by many for the match, but that doesn’t mean girls who attend East York don’t play football. In fact the girls are also loved as the come to the field to play Girl’s Flag Football.

The girls team is no different from the boys in expectations and keeping it up. SO don’t think that just because it’s a girls team that it would be all docile. Melika Wong, a grade 12 student at East York and Lineman on the team, gave us more insight on the team and sport.

The sport like any other in the school, comes second to academics. That shouldn’t stop you from giving a “100 %” at practice. It’s not easy go, easy come practice, for fitness is very important we are told.

The most important equipment to have would be the cleats, “and Confidence” Wong expressed when asked what do you need for the team. Being able to keep up and look foreword with a positive attitude is also important.

The coaches are kind and motivated, but strict when it comes to your schooling. The team is said to have a family feel to it, coaches and member. “If your having a rough day at school we can depend on team members” said Wong as she explained to us about the team.

Sometimes you do miss class but not all the time. Also maintaining an average of 60-70% is a expected. Balancing everything is a key aspect in this, following school academic policy. “I try to do my work in class” says Wong.

Wondering what to do, to join or not? Wong responds to that question with: “Just have confidence, just come out and join”. Flag Football is a fun and competitive sport to try.
