EYCI Webmasters
EYCI Webmasters meets every Thursday in Room 248 at 3:30 after school. New members are always welcome, experienced or inexperienced. Volunteer hours are granted for your work!
The job of the EYCI Webmasters include:
- Maintaining the online calendar
- Maintaining all online documents available for download
- Maintaining the EYCI Alumni Network
- Gathering and approving information submitted by Content Contributors in order to update the website
- Creating and changing various graphics on when necessary
Web designer:
The job of a web designer is to create/ edit the graphics of the website, this includes all ads, logos and banners. Web designers might also have to edit some code if any errors occur during updates.
The below requirements are needed before applying
- Intermediate knowledge of an advanced graphic program (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, GIMP etc.)
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS ( familiarity with php is a bonus )
- Knowledge and understanding of Web 2.0 graphics
- Creativeness and ability to transform it into digital art
Website Moderator:
The job of a website moderator is to manage all articles being submitted to the website by contributors. Moderators will make sure the data being published onto the website are within the EYCI Administrator standards.
NOTE: Moderators are not the final filter in the publishing process. Moderators will be supervised by an EYCI Administrator.
Content Contributor:
Content Contributors are the heart of the website. They will be gathering information for the website and submitting their stories to be published. News can be gathered when anything school related is operating. This includes club news, school events, fundraisers, staff news etc. A person with an active membership in another school club is highly recommended for this position.
