On Thursday November 10th, 2011, at the Esther Shiner Stadium were three regional matches. One of the matches was the south region at 1pm. East York versus Northern. The junior team pumped and nervous left their school for the game. The field waited for the players and the cameras from Roger's as well.

Even with this invisible pressure on the shoulders, the team kept their cool and played the game. Listening to their coaches and cheering for their team mates.

Every player stood ready on the field and the ones waiting on the side. Even players who were unable to play, came out in their jerseys and stood on the side and supported their mates.

Taking in two injuries on their side, the boys kept surging forward. the game may have started with the first point to Northern, the juniors just put the pedal the medal, going full speed ahead.

The game ended with a score befitting the Juniors: 13 -3. The boys earned the right to celebrate, which they did just as pridefully. Yet it wasn't just the players who deserve to boast. Even the coaches who trained them and guided them. As adults they stood pridefully but not arrogantly. Setting the tone for the rest of the players to follow.

A huge congratulations goes out to the EYCI Goliaths Jr. Football team for their success. And a good luck at winning cities!

For a list of the roster of the players you can scroll down to the bottom. The next few following are the gracious coaches who spend their time nourishing the talents with in EYCI after school.

This season, the EYCI Jr. Football team, has faithfully been holding on to a winning streak. Determined to get a complete hold of the title this year. Matching that determination they won their game last Friday, against Leaside.

With a score of 34 to 20, the boys celebrated. However, it wasn't just an easy win. The boys put forth so much strength and practice into it. Prior to the match, they held out practices in the rain and went forward with the perseverance to win.

Not only was the hard work a sole key to the win, put also thanks to the coaches who put their time and effort in shaping the team to it's best. Drawing out abilities from each and every player and guiding them to victory.

This Thursday, the JR are facing Northern. A game which will take place as an away game. We wish them the best of luck and congratulate them of their accomplishments thus far. Go team go!
